[DMANET] PhD Position in hybrid-AI methods for decision support in precision therapeutics for high-grade glioma

Dear colleagues,

There is now an opportunity to apply for a PhD position in "Hybrid-AI methods for decision support in precision therapeutics for high-grade glioma" at Uppsala University. The successful applicant will be part of the optimization group at the Department of Information Technology and will also join the graduate school of the Center in Interdisciplinary Mathematics, which includes courses, seminars, and workshops. As such, they will be required to take at least 30hp (6 months full-time study) Ph.D. level courses in mathematics, constraint modeling, statistics, and scientific computing, offered by, e.g., the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Information Technology. The project is co-supervised by Dr. Verónica Rendo (Department of Immunology, Genetics, and Pathology) and Docent Justin Pearson (Department of Information Technology).

We are looking for a motivated applicant with a solid background in applied mathematics, constraint programming, or a related field. The applicant should have excellent analytical skills and possess curiosity and creativity. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
