[DMANET] Fully funded PhD student position in medical AI @ TU Hamburg

The Institute of Medical Technology and Intelligent Systems at Hamburg
University of Technology is looking for a PhD student working on machine
learning and optimization methods with applications in medical diagnosis
and medical robotics.

Consider the problems of detecting malignant lesions and predicting the
best treatment options. In such scenarios, you will use machine learning
methods to identify the location of the lesion and to guide physicians
doing robotic surgery to the target. The position will be part of an EU
funded project which involves partners from research groups, clinics, and
industry.

We offer a fully funded position (approximately 50K EUR gross salary) for
a candidate with a background in computer science or related fields.
Excellent programming skills and very good knowledge of machine learning
methods are essential, medical image processing and ROS skills are a big

Successful candidates will have an excellent academic track record and a
clear motivation to obtain a PhD. While you will be part of an
interdisciplinary team you are able to work independently and to
collaborate with partners at clinics and in other research groups.
