Call for Participation

WCB 2010 - Workshop on Constraint Based Methods for Bioinformatics
---------------------------------------------------------------
July 21st, 2010 Edinburgh
co-located to ICLP/FLOC 2010
http://wcb10.dimi.uniud.it/

OVERVIEW AND SCOPE
------------------
Bioinformatics is a challenging and fast growing area of research,
which is of utmost importance for our understanding of life. Major
contributions to this discipline can have thousands of positive
effects in medicine, agriculture, or industry.

The main aim of this workshop is twofold. On the one hand, to share
and discuss recent results in this area and, on the
other hand, to present new recently formalized open problems.

INVITED SPEAKERS & ACCEPTED PAPERS
----------------------------------
This year the workshop covers several topics, e.g. pedigree and
haplotype reconstruction, metabolic pathways, RNA alignment and
protein structure.

There will be 9 presentations of refereed papers,
plus an invited presentation by Alexander Bockmayr
(Freie Univ. Berlin, Germany):

--> Constraint-based modeling in systems biology <--
