The Aalto University School of Science invites applications for:
SCIENCE FELLOW/ Machine learning strategies for materials optimization
The position is connected to the Aalto Science Institute, which is an
interdisciplinary research initiative hosted by the Aalto University
School of Science to advance and foster international collaboration and
research at the highest level across the fields of science.
The Science Fellow is a two-year postdoctoral position with freedom and
support to pursue independent and interdisciplinary research agenda.
Successful candidates shall have or are close to having a PhD in
Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines. Strong
knowledge of machine-learning methodologies, and reasonable programming
skills are required. The candidate is expected to have the interest to
apply mathematics and statistics to physical problems. Specialist
knowledge of computational physics techniques is also welcomed.
