The Department of Quantitative Economics at the Maastricht
University School of Business and Economics (SBE) is looking
for a lecturer in the areas of Operations Research, Supply
Chain Management and Business Intelligence.

The applicant will be appointed as a lecturer and will contribute
to the teaching activities of the department in the Bachelor and
Master programmes Econometrics & Operations Research, as well as
International Business (in particular in the specializations Supply
Chain Management and Business Intelligence). We are looking for an
enthusiastic person with a Ph.D. in a relevant area, e.g. Operations
Research, Mathematics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc., who
has a strong affinity with teaching.
As the language of instruction is English, your command of English
(oral and writing) should be excellent. Previous experience in working
with innovative, interdisciplinary learning approaches and problem-based
teaching methods are highly welcomed. Experience with teaching international
classrooms would be preferable.

The lecturer position is initially offered for a one year period, starting on September 1st 2015,
with a possibility of extension after one year. Salary is competitive, depending on qualifications and work
experience, between € 2.476,00 and € 3.908,00 gross per month for a fulltime lecturer position
(according to salary scale 10 of the CAO for Dutch universities). Each year the standard
salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of
8.3%. Applicants can be eligible for a favorable tax treatment (30% rule).
