Call For Papers: Networks, Special Issue "Freight Transportation and Logistics"
Motivation
ODYSSEUS is a triennial series of international workshops and it provides a high quality forum for recent developments, trends and advances in the theory, practice and application of mathematical models, optimization methodologies and decision support systems in the field of Freight Transportation and Logistics. Last year ODYSSEUS was held in Cagliari, Italy from 3 June to 8 and brought together around 200 academics, researchers and practitioners from more than 30 countries.
Contents
In connection with the activities of ODYSSEUS 2018, this special issue on "Freight Transportation and Logistics" invites both theoretical and methodological contributions towards the design and development of innovative solution approaches (exact, heuristic, and matheuristic approaches) to address challenging (new models and problem formulations) logistics and freight transportation problems. Although we encourage the submission of papers presented at Odysseus 2018,**_this Call for Papers is open to the entire community of academics and
practitioners working in the field of freight transportation and logistics._
The topics of interest cover a broad spectrum. They include (but are not limited to)
• Vehicle Routing
• Fleet and Crew Management
• Modal/Intermodal Transportation
• Terminal Management
• Supply Chain Logistics
• Network Design and Planning
• City Logistics
• Synchromodality
• Physical Internet
• Intelligent Transportation Systems
• Humanitarian Logistics
All contributions will be peer reviewed according to the usual standards of the journal.
Submission deadline: August 30, 2019
Expected publication date: Middle 2020
