[DMANET] PhD position at TU Wien

The Algorithms and Complexity Group (https://www.ac.tuwien.ac.at) at TU Wien, Vienna, Austria has an opening for a 3-year PhD position (30hrs per week). The PhD student will join the research group of Prof. Martin Nöllenburg and work on an interdisciplinary project focusing on algorithm engineering for human-in-the-loop geovisualization.

Applicants must have a Master degree in Computer Science (or a related subject) and have very good knowledge in algorithmics and algorithm engineering, especially on geometric algorithms and graph algorithms. Solid programming skills are expected. Experience in information and geo-visualization as well as processing of spatial data is a plus. Good command of English and German is needed; prior scientific publications are a bonus.
