The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University (Prague)
invites applications for the position of a Visiting Professor in Computer
Science at the Computer Science Institute of Charles University.

The position is open in any area of computer science. The applicant is
expected to teach two new courses at MSc. level (90-minute per week each).
The curricula of the courses shall be proposed by the applicant and form
an integral part of the application. At least one of the courses should
introduce topics related to recent research. All teaching will be in
English; knowledge of the Czech language is not required. A teaching
assistant for both courses will be provided by the Faculty. For more

The position is funded by the Czech Operational Programme Research,
Development and Education, project no. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_015/0002362.
The funding is available for one semester (5 months), starting between
January 1, 2020 and February 17, 2020. The gross monthly salary is CZK
84,000 (approx. EUR 3,230). The School will provide assistance with
locating housing and schooling for dependents (English language
pre-school, elementary and secondary schools are available in Prague).

The applicant must be an internationally recognized scholar in his/her
research area with Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related area. The
curricula of the courses are to be proposed by the applicant as a part of
the application. A signed application (cover letter) accompanied by
curriculum vitae, list of publications, research and teaching statements,
a copy of PhD diploma, and the curricula of both proposed courses, should
