Discrete Mathematics
Osnabrück University's Institute of Mathematics belonging to the School
of Mathematics/ Computer Science/Physics invites applications for a
post-doctoral researcher.
The starting date for this position is 1st of August 2023. The contract
is given for 3 years. The position is within the E 13 TV-L German public
sector pay scale and is offered at a 100 % base.
*Your Duties*
* Collaboration with the research group of Algebra and Discrete Mathematic
* Teaching duties in mathematics
* The opportunity to achieve a postdoctoral lecture qualification is given
*Requirements:*
* Completed scientific university studies (M.Sc.) in Mathematics
* Candidates are required to hold a PhD in an area related to the
research groups
* Strong background in one or more of the areas discrete and
combinatorial geometry, combinatorial commutative algebra,
topological, geometric or algebraic combinatorics and discrete
mathematics
*Additional Qualifications:*
* a structured and independent approach to work
The research interests of the mentioned research groups are mainly
focused on commutative algebra, discrete mathematics, discrete and
combinatorial geometry, topological combinatorics as well as data science.
The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
