You should have a background/interest in
- combinatorics and probability theory,
- message passing algorithms,
- statistical/mathematical physics
The position, which is funded by the DFG project "Message passing algorithms, information-theoretic thresholds and computational barriers". There are no teaching obligations and proficency in German is not a requirement.
Applicants should have an excellent PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science or a related discipline.
