[DMANET] 12-months Post-doctoral position at ESSEC (Paris), starting in February 2024

ESSEC Business School and its Information Systems, Decision Sciences and
Statistics (IDS) department is recruiting a Post-doc for 12 months,
starting at the beginning of February 2024. The research topic of this
Post-doc position is "Integrating freight in public transport for last-mile
delivery". This Post-doc position is partially funded by the SISCO project
(Sustainable Smart Cities Operations) of Paris-Seine I-SITE initiative.

Candidates should have a strong background in Operations Research and
Combinatorial Optimization, with a research that preferably focuses on
decomposition methods (like Branch-and-Cut, Column generation,
Branch-and-price, or Benders decomposition methods). The goal of the
research is to design models and methods for optimizing the delivery of
freight in cities using residual capacities of public transport (like
buses, trams or subway), which is the general goal of SISCO project. The
candidate should have good coding skills. Having done research in
transport/routing will be a plus, but is not required.

The Post-doc will be done in collaboration with Professors Laurent
Alfandari and Diego Delle Donne. The ESSEC team working on the SISCO
project is also composed of Professors Claudia Archetti and Ivana Ljubic.
