We are happy to announce the Xpress Award Winner Webinar "Using Xpress for the Green Energy Transformation" and call for nominations for the next FICO Xpress Best Paper Award edition.
Date: 6th of December 2023, 11 am EST (8 am PT, 5 pm CET)
The FICO Xpress Best Paper Awards Winner 2023, Alexandre Moreira, will present his work on "Climate-aware generation and transmission expansion planning: A three-stage robust optimization approach".
With the developed methodology, planners and system operators can optimize the expansion of power systems while considering how climate phenomena impact the short-term behavior of renewable generation and the different responses of the system operator to each case.
They have implemented the methodology with the FICO Xpress IDE Workbench using the MOSEL modeling language and benefited from the great efficiency of the Xpress solver and the excellent capabilities of the MOSEL language to execute parallel tasks.
