**Scope**
The aim of this special issue is to investigate, to analyze and to address
challenging issues and emerging trends in Multimedia Social Network
analysis. We solicit contributions on advanced modeling and mining of
Multimedia Social Networks regarding any data domain including both
theoretical and application-oriented studies promoting and building
explainable models. In particular, we encourage contributions on the
development of novel approaches based on advanced optimization techniques
and learning paradigms (e.g., online learning, reinforcement learning, and
deep learning) to enhance our understanding of complex phenomena in
Multimedia Social Networks, including generation of personalized multimedia
information recommendations in response to specific targets of interest,
evaluation of the trust relationship between users, characterization of
user behavior and information propagation on the base of multimedia
sharing, in particular using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
**Topics of Interest**
The topics of interest for this special issue include but are not limited
to the following:
• Multimedia Social Network Modelling
• Multimedia Social Recommendation
• Community Detection in Multimedia Social Networks
• Link Prediction in Multimedia Social Networks
• Influence Analysis in Multimedia Social Network
• Opinion Dynamics in Multimedia Social Networks
• Social Behavior Analysis Using Multimedia Social Network Data
• Ensemble Learning for Multimedia Social Network Mining;
• User Behavior Modeling in Multimedia Social Networks
• Reputation and Trust Computing in Multimedia Social Networks
• Time-Evolving Multimedia Social Networks
• Hypergraph-Based Modeling, Analysis and Learning Problems
• Explainable Models for Multimedia Social Network Analysis
**Submission Guidelines**
Manuscripts must not have been previously published nor currently under
review by other journals or conferences. If prior work was published in a
conference, the submitted manuscript should include a substantial extension
of at least 35% novel contributions. In this case, authors are also
required to submit their published conference articles and a summary
document explaining the enhancements made in the journal version.
The submission website for this journal is located at
https://www.editorialmanager.com/osnem/default.aspx. Please select "VSI:
MSN Analytics" when you reach the "Article Type" step in the submission
process. To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified, for
consideration by the special issue, the authors should indicate in the
cover letter that the manuscript has been submitted for the special issue
on "Multimedia Social Network Analytics".
