A PhD position is open at the Chair of Algorithmics, at Technische
Universität Dresden, Germany, with a planned starting date of Jan 1st,
2026 (or flexibly a bit later).
The position is full-time (100%, E13 TV-L), offered for three years,
with possible extension.
We are looking for a motivated PhD student with a good knowledge of
algorithms and theoretical computer science, to take part in the
research and teaching activities at the Chair of Algorithms within the
Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at TU Dresden.
The main research area is the design and analysis of algorithms and data
structures, with possible focus topics including randomized-, online-,
approximation-, or streaming algorithms, adaptive data structures, or
algorithmic geometry.
