GraMSec 2015
The Second International Workshop on Graphical Models for Security
Co-located with CSF 2015

Verona, Italy - July 13, 2015
http://gramsec.uni.lu/
************************************************************

***** Springer's LNCS proceedings confirmed *****

Graphical security models provide an intuitive but systematic
methodology to analyze security weaknesses of systems and to evaluate
potential protection measures. Formal methods and computer security
researchers, as well as security professionals from industry and
government, have proposed various graphical security modeling schemes.
Such models are used to capture different security facets (digital,
physical, and social) and address a range of challenges including
security assessment, risk analysis, automated defensing, secure
services composition, policy validation and verification. The
objective of GraMSec is to contribute to the development of
well-founded graphical security models, efficient algorithms for their
analysis, as well as methodologies for their practical usage.

The workshop seeks submissions from academia, industry, and government
presenting novel research on all theoretical and practical aspects of
graphical models for security. The topics of the workshop include, but
are not limited to:
- Attack trees, attack graphs, and their variants
- Petri nets, Markov chains, and Bayesian networks for security
- UML-based models and other graphical modeling approaches for security
- Enhancement and/or optimization of existing graphical security models
- Methods for (semi-)automatic generation of graphical security models
- Scalability of graphical security models
- Software tools for graphical security modeling and analysis
- Risk assessment and risk management using graphical security models
- Methods for quantitative analysis of graphical security models
- Formal semantics of graphical security models
- Formal verification of graphical security models
- Game theoretical approaches to graphical security models
- Visualization of system security
- Visual security modeling and analysis of socio-technical and
cyber-physical systems
- Graphical models for system, organizational, and business security
- Graphical security models for emerging paradigms (e.g., Cloud
computing, IoT, Software Defined Networks, Big Data)
- Case studies and experience reports on the use of graphical security
models

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
We solicit two types of submissions:
- Regular papers (up to 15 pages) describing original and unpublished
work within the scope of the workshop.
- Tool papers (up to 5 pages) describing software supporting graphical
security modeling, analysis, and evaluation. Tool papers will be
presented during a special tool session.

All submissions must be prepared using the LNCS style.

Each paper will undergo a thorough review process. All accepted
(regular and tool) papers will be included in the workshop's
post-proceedings, which will be published by Springer in the
Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Submissions should
be made using the GraMSec'15 EasyChair web site.

*******************************************************************************
The Symposium on Stabilization, Safety, and Security of Distributed Systems
is an international forum for researchers and practitioners working on the
design and development of distributed systems that guarantee specific
desired properties despite adversity, or that are able to restore the
desired properties following adversarial perturbations in the computing
medium building on the principles of self-stabilization. Research in
distributed computing and distributed systems continues its vibrant
development, marked by the importance of dynamic systems, such as
peer-to-peer networks, large-scale wireless sensor networks, mobile ad hoc
networks, mobile agent computing, opportunistic networks etc. Moreover, new
applications such as grid and web services, banking and e-commerce,
e-voting, e-health and robotics, aerospace and avionics, automotive,
industrial process control, have joined the expanded landscape of
distributed systems. It is becoming increasingly important to endow all
such systems with built-in means for self-management, self-protection, and
self-repair. The symposium encourages the submission of original
contributions spanning fundamental research and practical applications
within its scope, covered by the five symposium tracks: +

[DMANET] IEEE BigDataSE2015 CFP – Deadline extended to April 20, 2015 (firm)

The 9th IEEE International Conference on Big Data Science and Engineering
(IEEE BigDataSE-15)
http://comnet.aalto.fi/BDSE2015/

Big data is an emerging paradigm applied to datasets whose size is beyond
the ability of commonly used software tools to capture, manage, and process
the data within a tolerable elapsed time. Such datasets are often from
various sources (Variety) yet unstructured such as social media, sensors,
scientific applications, surveillance, video and image archives, Internet
texts and documents, Internet search indexing, medical records, business
transactions and web logs; and are of large size (Volume) with fast data
in/out (Velocity). More importantly, big data has to be of high value
(Value) and establish trust in it for business decision making (Veracity).
Various technologies are being discussed to support the handling of big
data such as massively parallel processing databases, scalable storage
systems, cloud computing platforms, and MapReduce.

Big data is more than simply a matter of size; it is an opportunity to find
insights in new and emerging types of data and content, to make business
more agile, and to answer questions that were previously considered beyond
our reach. Distributed systems is a classical research discipline
investigating various distributed computing technologies and applications
such as cloud computing and MapReduce. With new paradigms and technologies,
distributed systems research keeps going with new innovative outcomes from
both industry and academia. For example, wide deployment of MapReduce is a
distributed programming paradigm and an associated implementation to
support distributed computing over large datasets on cloud. BigDataSE is
created to provide a prime international forum for researchers, industry
practitioners and environment experts to exchange the latest fundamental
advances in the state of the art and practice of Big Data and broadly
related areas.

BigDataSE 2015 is the next event in a series of highly successful
International Conferences, previously held as BigDataSE2014 (Beijing,
China, September 2014), BigDataSE2013 (Sydney, Australia, December 2013),
BigDataMR-12 (Xiangtan, China, November 2012), AHPCN-12 (Bradford, UK, June
2012), AHPCN-11 (Banff, Canada, September 2011), AHPCN-10 (Melbourne,
Australia, September 2010), AHPCN-09 (Seoul, Korea, June 2009), AHPCN-08
(Dalian, China, September 2008).

Topics of interest include, but not limited to

- Big Data novel theory, algorithm and applications
- Big Data standards
- Big Data mining and analytics
- Big Data Infrastructure, MapReduce and Cloud Computing
- Big Data visualization
- Big Data curation and management
- Big Data semantics, scientific discovery and intelligence
- Big Data performance analysis and large-scale deployment
- Security, privacy, trust, and legal issues to big data
- Big Data vs Big Business and Big Industry
- Large data stream processing on cloud
- Large incremental datasets on cloud
- Distributed and federated datasets
- NoSQL data stores and DB scalability
- Big Data placement, scheduling, and optimization
- Distributed file systems for Big Data

The aim of the conference is to bring together interested researchers from Constraint Programming (CP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Operations Research (OR) to present new techniques or applications in combinatorial optimization and to provide an opportunity for researchers in one area to learn about techniques in the others. A main objective of this conference series is also to give these researchers the opportunity to show how the integration of techniques from different fields can lead to interesting results on large and complex problems. Therefore papers that actively combine, integrate, or contrast approaches from more than one of the areas are especially solicited. High quality papers from a single area are also welcome, provided that they are of interest to other communities involved. Application papers showcasing CP/AI/OR techniques on novel and challenging applications or experience reports on such applications are strongly encouraged.

The program will include talks broadly covering the following topics:
- Inference and relaxation methods: constraint propagation, cutting planes, global constraints, graph algorithms, dynamic programming, Lagrangian and convex relaxations, heuristic functions based on constraint relaxation.
- Search methods: branch and bound, intelligent backtracking, incomplete search, randomized search, portfolios, column generation, Benders decompositions or any other decomposition methods, local search, meta-heuristics.
- Integration methods: solver communication, model transformations and solver selection, parallel and distributed resolution techniques, models, and solvers.
- Modeling methods: comparison of models, symmetry breaking, uncertainty, dominance relationships.
- Innovative Applications of CP/AI/OR techniques.
