[DMANET] Final Call for Participation: Workshop on Data Science meets Optimization

[This call might be of particular interest to you if you are already
attending IEEE CEC 2017 or CPAIOR 2017. Apologies for multiple postings.]

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to participate the Workshop on Data Science
meets Optimization which will take place colocated with IEEE Congress on
Evolutionary Computation (CEC) 2017 in Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain and
14th International Conference on Integration of Artificial Intelligence and
Operations Research Techniques in Constraint Programming (CPAIOR 2017) in
Padova, Italy on the 5th of June, 2017.

We will have the following keynote speakers.

CPAIOR 2017: Prof. Dr. Tias Guns, Vrije Universiteit Brussel

CEC 2017: Prof. Dr. Holger Hoos, Universiteit Leiden

This workshop is an activity of EURO working group on Data Science meets
Optimization, but is open to everyone. The general scope of the stream is
the usage of data science methods, including machine learning and
statistics, to improve the effectiveness of optimisation and metaheuristics
and vice versa. The broader aim of the workshop is to encourage interaction
between optimisation and data science; bringing together researchers and
practitioners from related fields, such as Operational Research (OR),
Artificial Intelligence, Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science.

In order to present at the workshop please send us a title and
abstract/paper via an email to "info [ATT] <http://ds-o.org/> ds-o.org" by
April 1, 2017. The workshop programme will be announced soon after the
deadline. Please note that if you are already planning to attend CEC 2017 or
CPAIOR 2017 and have an accepted contribution, you could present the same
work. All submissions will be checked for suitability and there is a limited
number of presentation slots.

In order to join the workshop just to follow the presentations, please
register your interest simply by sending an email to "info [ATT]
<http://ds-o.org/> ds-o.org".

If you know a colleague who might be interested in participating this
workshop please feel free to forward this invitation. Attendance is free of
charge.

If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact us. We
look forward to seeing you at the workshop.

Best wishes,

Organisers

Patrick De Causmaecker, Ender Özcan, Andrew Parkes, Pieter Leyman, Morteza
Davari
