[DMANET] Postdoc Algorithms for Data Tiling

The Center for Computation and Technology of Louisiana State University is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Combinatorial Optimization.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Stefan van Zwam on algorithms for automated data tiling in high-performance computing environments. The work forms part of the multidisciplinary project ``Phylanx: A Distributed Array Toolkit.'' The position is initially for one year, and is expected to be renewed for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress and continued project funding. The starting date can be negotiated, but sooner is better.

Required qualifications:
* A PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics with a focus on Combinatorial Optimization or Algorithms.

Desired qualifications:
* Experience with the design of approximation algorithms
* Affinity with applications as well as theory
* A strong publication record
* Ability to work in a large team
* Strong communication skills

Helpful qualifications:
* Knowledge of the computational needs of Big Data applications
* Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms
* Programming experience in Python and C++
* Experience with High-Performance Computing and/or Cloud Computing
