The Heureka Foundation for Environment and Mobility honors outstanding
Master's theses that are dedicated to issues in mobility in connection
with environmental aspects or the use of optimization methods with the
*** Heureka Student Award 2019 ***
for Diploma and Master's theses
The selected work will be awarded an invitation to the heureka'20
conference in Stuttgart (01.04.2020-02.04.2020, coverage of conference
fee and travel expenses). It is planned to publish a summary of the
results of the thesis in one of the scientific journals of the
Fachgesellschaft für Straßen- und Verkehrstechnik (FGSV). The work
selected for the first prize also receives a prize money of € 1,000.
You can submit theses from all disciplines that meet the following criteria:
- The thesis investigates a mobility issue in connection with
environmental aspects or the use of optimization methods.
- The work was done at a German-speaking university.
- The work was finally handed over to the respective department /
institute / professorship between 30.09.2018 and 31.12.2019.
- The author is ready to personally present the results of the work
at the User Forum of IVU Traffic Technologies AG in Berlin
(23.03.2020-24.03.2020).
- The author is ready to summarize the results of the work in a 1- to
2-page article and to make it available for publication in a scientific
journal of the FGSV.
Applications for the Student Award 2019 can be submitted by the
supervisor or by the author by December 31, 2019 by e-mail to
student-award@stiftung-heureka.de
Your application should contain (see

- A 1- to 3-page summary of the work
- A CV (max one page)
- The Master's thesis as a PDF
- The completed cover sheet (download from the website) signed by a
professor supporting the application
The Master's thesis and the other documents can be submitted in German
or English.
The winners will be notified in mid-January 2020.
