Research Fellow in Applied Software Engineering (KTP Associate) at University College London (Department of Computer Science) - Ref:1874677 - Closing date 16 March 2021

The Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL) is seeking one "Research Fellow in Applied Software Engineering (KTP Associate)" in the area of software engineering, ideally with background and experience in machine learning and evolutionary computation to work on a cutting-edge Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project in collaboration with the industrial partner Turing Intelligence Technology Limited.

The project is funded by the KTP with the goal of realising the company's vision of automating the entire lifecycle of creating, optimising and deploying AI, by means of evolutionary and machine learning approaches, and will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to carry out ground-breaking and impactful research in close collaboration with industry. Besides, they will receive strong career development support, dedicated research resources, training in transferable skills, and conference allowance.

The successful candidates will work under the supervision of Professor Federica Sarro (UCL), Dr Justyna Petke (UCL) and Dr Fan Wu (Turing Intelligence Technology), will join the SOLAR group (https://solar.cs.ucl.ac.uk/) and be based at Turing Intelligence Technology (https://turintech.ai/).

The post is full-time and has funding available for 27 months in the first instance, salary range: £36,028 - £43,533 per annum (inclusive of London allowance).
