[DMANET] PhD position at WU Vienna, Austria

Applications are invited for a PhD position at the Research Institute for Supply Chain Management at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). The position is available from February 1, 2024, for 30h/week. The appointment is for 3 years.
You will actively collaborate on an exciting third-party funded research project. The project addresses optimization problems on strategical, tactical, and operational levels for deploying sustainable distribution modes such as cargo bikes, robots or walking couriers in a multi-echelon setting. The project is a collaboration with EM Normandie (France).

What you have to offer
-Academic degree: You have a diploma/master's degree in business computing, mathematics, computer science or a related field that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral program at WU.
-Strong knowledge of Operations Research (E.g. thesis written in Operations Research or a strongly related topic)
-Excellent Programming language skills (e.g. in C, C++, Python …)
-Interest in sustainable transportation
-Proficiency in English
