[DMANET] 3 year PostDoc position in applied algebraic geometry at UiT in Tromsø

The Department of Mathematics an Statistics at UiT the Artctic University of Norway in Tromsø has a vacancy for one
full-time post-doctoral researcher in
Applied Algebraic Geometry
for a period of 3 years.

The position will be attached to the project "Symmetry in quantitative and algorithmic real algebraic geometry" (SymRAG<https://en.uit.no/project/symrag>) funded by
Tromsø Foskningsstiftelse and the Lie-Størmer Center<https://uit.no/research/lsc> for fundamental structures in computational and pure mathematics.
The main focus of research will be around round mathematical structures that are fundamental efficient computations, in particular,
on the role of symmetry to facilitate and structure computational processes.

The candidate will work together with Professor Cordian Riener and will be based at Tromsø.
The successful candidate for this position will ideally have a background in
algorithmic real algebraic geometry or applied algebra.
