[DMANET] PhD position at the University of Twente `New tools and Algorithms for Directed NEtwork Analysis (NADINE)'

PhD position New tools and Algorithms for Directed NEtwork Analysis (NADINE)

PhD position is available at the Centre for Telematics and Information Technology (http://www.ctit.utwente.nl), group Stochastic Operations Research, at the University of Twente.

The NADINE project, which is funded by the EU Seventh Framework Programme, is a collaborative effort of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), France; University of Twente, The Netherlands; Magyar Tudomanyos Akademia Szamitastechnikai es Automatizalasi Kutato Intezet, Hungary; Universita degli Studi di Milano, Italy.

The PhD project is aiming at probabilistic analysis and development of new ranking schemes in complex directed stochastic networks, such as World Wide Web, social networks and mobile communication networks, with applications, e.g. in information retrieval and voting systems.

Applicants should have completed a university degree (MSc level) or are about to graduate, in (applied) mathematics or a closely related field. Strong skills in programming and analysis of large data sets are highly desirable for this project.

More details can be found at
