CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
--------------------------------------------
32nd Annual ACM SIGACT-SIGOPS Symposium
on the Principles of Distributed Computing - PODC 2013

Montreal, Canada, July 22-24, 2013
http://www.podc.org/

The 32nd Annual ACM SIGACT-SIGOPS Symposium on Principles of Distributed
Computing (PODC 2013),
which will be held in Montreal, Canada on July 22-24, 2013, invites
proposals for up to 2 day workshops
that are closely related to the scope of the conference, i.e. on topics
related to the theory, design, analysis,
implementation, or applications of distributed systems and networks.
Workshops will be held in conjunction
with PODC (and SPAA which is co-located this year) on the days immediately
preceding (or following)
the conference program. Interested members of the community are invited to
send proposals for workshops
by email to the general chair (faturu AT csd DOT uoc DOT gr).

The following are required in a workshop proposal:

- Title of the workshop.

- An abstract describing the main focus of the workshop and why it would be
of interest to the PODC
community.

- Names and contact information of the organizers.

- Estimated number of submitted and accepted papers, duration of the
workshop, and a brief description
of the review process.

Although PODC will provide organizational and administrative support for the
workshops,
the workshops must bear their own expenses (e.g., those associated with the
meeting rooms and catering).
The budget of PODC and the workshops, in principle, could be integrated, but
the details
will need to be worked out. The proposals should be submitted to the general
chair as soon as possible,
but no later than November 30, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be sent
shortly after the deadline.
