ABOUT ECI (http://www.dc.uba.ar/eci)

The Escuela de Ciencias Informáticas (ECI) is held annually at
Departamento de Computación, Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales,
Universidad de
Buenos Aires, since 1987.

The goal of ECI is to help Computer Science students of UBA and other
Universities and professionals to strengthen and enlarge their skills
through intensive, top-level, post-graduate courses about topics not
covered by the regular curricula.

These courses are taught by lecturers of other Universities from all over
the world. This offers participants the opportunity to establish links of
academic
cooperation, as well as promoting research and development activities.

Each year, between 400 to 800 people participate in ECI, taking one, two
or three courses each. Among them, there are numerous students and
lecturers from other universities in Argentina and neighbour countries.

The organization of ECI is possible thanks to the generous contribution of
prestigious professors and researchers from world-wide institutions, the
support of Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, the collaboration of
authorities and staff, and the financial support of private and public
companies and institutions.
