Deadline for Full Paper Submissions: January 31, 2013
International Journal of Transportation (IJT), published by Science & Engineering Research Support Society, provides a chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of transportation. We are organizing a special issue focusing on Recent Advance of Metaheursitics for Solving Transportation and Logistics Problems.
Metaheursitics has been a topic of intense investigation in transportation and logistics problems. Metaheursitics is superior for its capability in searching good solutions in a large space of candidate solutions of an NP-hard problem or problems with no good mathematical properties. Original articles dealing with transportation and logistics problems that are solved by the metaheursitics will be considered for publication. We welcome, for example, submissions on network design, transportation planning, traffic management and control, public transportation, transport infrastructure, highway engineering, transport economics, and environment issues that involve the use of existing, improved or even new metaheuristics for obtaining good solutions.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
* simulated annealing,
* genetic algorithms,
* ant colony optimization,
* scatter search,
* tabu search,
* artificial bee colony,
* other recent metaheurisitcs and
* hybrid of different metaheuristics and mathematical programming techniques.
The papers will be subject to the usual peer review process of International Journal of Transportation. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit, accuracy and readability. The final paper format must follow the standards found in the International Journal of Transportation - "Instructions for Authors" guide, available online at: http://www.sersc.org/journals/%5BSERSC%5D%20Author%20Guidelines.pdf
Authors should submit the manuscript to the online submission system at: http://submission.sersc.org/IJT/
Important Dates:
Submission of full paper due: January 31, 2013
Feedback from first-round reviews issued: May 31, 2013
Revised manuscript due: July 31, 2013
Feedback from second-round reviews issued (if needed): September 30, 2013
