This is to announce two postdoc positions and one Ph.D. student position
in the complexity theory & efficient algorithms group headed by Christian
Sohler
at TU Dortmund University. The application deadline is December 17th. All
positions will first be assigned for 1 year with a possibility of
extension.
One postdoc position and the Ph.D. student position will be funded by the
ERC Starting Grant "Sublinear Algorithms for the Analysis of Very Large
Graphs"
and will be in the area of Property Testing. The ideal candidate for the
postdoc position has done her/his Ph.D. in Sublinear Algorithms or a
closely related
area (for example, graph theory or randomized algorithm) and already
proven great potential for scientific work. For the Ph.D. student position
we are looking
for a candidate with an outstanding MSc. degree (or equivalent) in
Computer Science or Mathematics.
More details about the postdoc position can be found here:

For the second postdoc position we are looking for an exceptional
candidate within any area of theoretical computer science, ideally related
to one of the
research areas of our group. The position requires to be in full written
and verbal command of the German language and has some teaching duties
(Landesstelle).
