TU Graz: One Postdoctoral Position in Discrete Mathematics (max. 6 years)

We are seeking outstanding candidates with strong background in Discrete
Mathematics, in particular, probabilistic combinatorics, random graphs,
and (algorithmic) graph theory.

The successful candidate will be employed as a Universitaetsassistent/in
mit Doktorat for up to six years (a fulltime research and teaching
postdoctoral position) at the Institute of Optimisation and Discrete
Mathematics at Technische Universitaet Graz, Austria. The standard
teaching load is 6 credit hours per semester (1 credit hour = 45 min).
The ability to teach in German would be desirable but not necessary. The
preferred starting date is 1 January 2013 or 1 February 2013 .

The salary group for Universitaetsassistent/in mit Doktorat is B1
(Paragraph 49). There are extra salary payments, the so-called the 13th-
and 14th-month salaries which are favourably taxed.

Discrete Mathematics takes an active part in it.

Condition of employment:
- Qualified candidates must hold a PhD degree in mathematics or
theoretical computer science before the time of appointment
