Two Postdoctoral Positions in Algorithms at University of Warsaw
Two postdoctoral positions in the area of algorithms in the Department of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics at University of Warsaw under the guidance of Prof. Piotr Sankowski is currently open. All candidates with strong qualifications in algorithmic research are encouraged to apply and will be carefully considered. Areas of specific interest are:
- Approximation Algorithms
- Algorithmic Game Theory
- Algorithms for Social Networks
- Web Algorithmics and Data Mining
- Combinatorial Optimization
- Dynamic Algorithms
Applicants should have a PhD degree or be close to completing it. Knowledge of Polish language is not required, but a good knowledge of English is essential. Salary will be commensurate with experience and levels of accomplishment and lies in the range 24 000-32 000 Euro net per annum. The positions are supported by the PAAl Project (ERC Starting Grant 259515: Practical Approimation Algorithms) and the MULTIPLEX Project (EU-FET-317532: Foundational Research on Multilevel Complex Networks and Systems). Both projects are being realized by the Algorithmic Analysis Group, which includes many exceptional young scientists. Successful candidates can start after September 2013 (negotiable). Funding is available for up to two years and different durations are possible. No teaching responsibilities are associated with this position. Travel support is available.
