Workshop on Security of Permissionless Systems (SPS)

August 2, 2019 in Toronto, Canada. Co-located with PODC'19

http://sps.cse.msstate.edu/

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are excited to announce the Workshop on Security of Permissionless
Systems (SPS).

SPS is dedicated to addressing the application of new techniques and the
adaptation of traditional tools to ensure the security of permissionless
systems. In this setting, nodes may join and depart without centralized
control; examples include distributed ledgers, IoT, smart grid, robot
swarms, peer-to-peer and ad-hoc wireless networks. Many security threats
arise from an absence of administrative control, and a lack of trust
between a dynamic set of participants.

The workshop is a one-day event that will consist of invited speakers
presenting results of interest to the broad community of
distributed-computing researchers. Additionally, time will be allocated for
the discussion of open problems and future research directions.
