Funding is available for a PhD position at Rutgers Business School (Newark and New Brunswick) on the Ph.D. in Management Program, specializing in Operations Research, to start in September 2020. See https://www.business.rutgers.edu/phd/operations-research for more details of the program.
The successful applicant will work with Thomas Lidbetter (https://www.business.rutgers.edu/faculty/thomas-lidbetter) on the NSF funded project, Continuous Search and Patrolling on Networks (abstract given here: https://nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=1935826&HistoricalAwards=false). The project will use game theory, graph theory and other operations research techniques to study search and patrolling problems on networks.
Applicants should have a strong quantitative background, and will have completed an undergraduate and/or Master's degree in mathematics, computer science or a related discipline before commencing the program.
