FRICO 2013
(16th Workshop on Future Research in Combinatorial Optimization)
August 21-24, 2013
RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany.

Registration deadline: April 28, 2013
FRICO 2013 is the 16th event in a sequence of successful meetings
and will take place from August 21-24, 2013 at RWTH Aachen University.
The workshop aims to bring together young researchers (Master students,
PhD students and PostDocs) and to encourage the exchange of new ideas.
The focus of the workshop is to present their own results as well as
work in progress from various areas of combinatorial optimization.
FRICO is intended to be a workshop in the original meaning of the word.
In particular, we encourage the submission and presentation of on-going
and future research (even work containing gaps and unsolved problems).
Besides plenty of time between sessions, there will be a social program
that allows participants to exchange ideas and have fruitful discussions.
Similar to last year's FRICO, we plan to have an industry day where
practitioners from the industry will highlight the application of
combinatorial optimization in practice.
To enable students and young researchers without major financial backing
to participate at FRICO, participation for young researchers is free of
charge. Participants will only have to cover their travel and
accommodation expenses.
More information about the workshop can be found on the website:

In order to register, please send an email with your name, your
affiliation and a preliminary title by April 28, 2013 to
